What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse osmosis, or RO, is a method of demineralizing or deionizing water by forcing it through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure. The water molecules pass through the semi-permeable membrane as the feed water enters the RO membrane under pressure, but the salts and other contaminants are not allowed to pass and are discharged through the reject stream, which can be fed back into the feed water supply in some circumstances to be recycled through the RO system to save water. The water that passes through the RO membrane is known as permeate, and it normally contains 95 percent to 99 percent dissolved salts.
What is the use of Commercial RO spare parts?
Commercial RO spare parts are supplementary parts for the RO water plant that are used to repair broken parts. These are cost-effective and enhance the service life of RO plants. There are replacement pre-filters, filter housings, pumps, tubes, membranes, gauges, and other RO components available.
RO replacement components are important because they allow you to fix small problems with your RO water plant instead of having to replace it totally. Depending on the model of RO plant, RO replacement parts come in a variety of designs and sizes. RO spare parts are in high demand since RO water plants are utilized on a large scale in homes, schools, institutions, offices, and enterprises.
Different spare parts of RO and their use
1. Multi-grade Filter: This filter is made up of various layers of filter media that mix pebbles, gravel, coarse sand, and fine sand in a predefined proportion. The multi-grade filter removes suspended solids, grit, dust particles, and other visible large-sized particles.
2.Carbon Filter: A carbon filter is used in a reverse osmosis system for both pre-treatment and post-treatment. It's used to clean water of odours, colors, flavors, chlorine, and pesticides.
3.RO Membrane: The RO membrane is the most important component of the RO plant, often recognized as the "Heart of RO Plant." This membrane eliminates contaminants, microbes, sediments, heavy metals, germs, soluble salt, and viruses from water.
4.The high-pressure pump: Its duty is to increase water pressure to the point when water can travel through the pores of the RO membrane.
5. UV Lamp: An ultraviolet lamp (UV lamp) is a device that uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria and viruses. It enters the microorganism's cell and destroys the DNA of the molecule. Germs are then completely eliminated from the water.
6.Solenoid Valve: A solenoid valve creates a magnetic field with an electric current to provide linear motion. If an electric current is introduced or removed from the system, the solenoid valve will flip positions.
7.Pressure Gauge: A pressure gauge measures the force exerted by a fluid per unit area, which indicates the fluid's condition. Any water line can be used to install it.
8.Dosing Pump: A dosing pump is a positive displacement pump that delivers an anti-scalant chemical at a precise flow rate. It's used to automate fluid flow in industries like medicines and water treatment.
